BACKGROUND AND INITIAL CONCEPT

When Esther and Philipp got together to start their law firm Public Sector Law, they contacted me to create a website in two languages (English and German) that would bring together the core concepts of their business: Trustworthiness, Competence and sophistication in their fields, Professionalism and high service level, The client feels welcomed by them, no high barrier to getting in touch, Modernity.

During our first calls, it became clear that both of them liked tiles. Based on that I chose to use tiles on the two main pages. The homepage and the practice areas.

The words representing the Public Sector Law: Modern and friendly, Professionalism, Trustworthiness and Competence.

THE STYLE

Modern and friendly was associated to images and lay-out. Professionalism to the colours. Trustworthiness and Competence to the fonts.

THE CHOICE

UX/UI APPROACH

CODED FROM SCRATCH

The website is in WordPress and the theme was coded from scratch. This wasn’t just an aesthetic choice, it was also strongly due to having a fast website. Coding the theme allowed to avoid the use of plugins which slow down the speed at which the website loads. Having a faster website makes the website more user friendly and enhance the overall experience

CTA IN HEADER

The Call to Action (CTA) is visible on specific pages directly in the header making it easy accessible to the users. Where not in the header that CTA appears in different part of the page.

FLIPPING CARDS

Public Sector Law has a number of areas where they offer different services. The challenge here was to present all the areas without overwhelm the user, but also avoiding to get him lost onto many pages. We decided to use an asymmetric grid where each tile is a flipping card. On the front of the card the area and on the back the list of services offered.

Flipping cards – front
Flipping cards – back of one the cards
